Luckily, with Balou it’s not too difficult when it comes to feeding, he gets a middle-sized bowl in the morning and another one in the afternoon. He is always amazed at the food, even though he always gets the same thing. He usually always goes potty after every meal and also throughout the day, let me tell you, this dog could go potty every 10 minutes, but also only because his dad taught him so. So, if he says “Dua weida” he immediately gets into position.
He also gets a lot of snaccies from his grandparents, which explains why he has a bit too much on his hips. He also learned, that if he goes outside and goes back in, he gets a treat from grandma, which is beneficial for him, because if we’re away and he’s downstairs at the grandparents’, he goes in and out every hour.
The good stuff about feeding a dog follows: Every christmas Balou gets a big bone to eat. This means he eats the whole thing (including meat AND bone), which then again means he gets explosive diarrhea within the next few hours. Unfortunately, we did not catch on to that right away and had a poopy bed and carpet. In conclusion, christmas is fun with a dog, but the aftermath is just full on horror!
