Teaching hospital and referral clinic
Due to its unique position in Austria, the Pet Clinic plays a key role in teaching, research and clinical services. With its university clinics, it guarantees around-the-clock care for its animal patients, even in emergencies and in intensive care. It is a teaching hospital for the university’s students, and at the same time a referral clinic for resident veterinarians and private clinics.
The clinics of the Pet Clinic are also open to pet owners for necessary veterinary services and interventions. Clinically and scientifically demanding cases often bring important scientific knowledge, ultimately for the benefit of animal patients.
The Pet Clinic also offers laboratory diagnostic services. These services are available to the animal hospital and its five university clinics, but also to resident veterinarians.
